Martyn Ford je glumac i trener koji naprosto fascinira izgrađenim mišićima i izgledom. Svojom visinom i masom odudara od prosječnih bodybuildera.
U mladosti se Martyn bavio kriketom, no teška ozljeda ga je zaustavila u napretku. Nakon toga je pronašao novu strast – bodybuilding, koji ga je jednostavno oduševio.
Njegova obitelj i kćer su mu najveća motivacija.
“Nikad neću prestati pokušavati biti sve što mogu biti kako bih joj pokazao koliko mi je stalo do nje”, tvrdi Martyn. Ističe kako je sretan što može biti snažan uzor svojoj kćeri, ali i mnogim drugim vježbačima.
On tvrdi da ga najviše demotivira negativnost drugih ljudi koja može biti zarazna, stoga nastoji što više biti okružen pozitivnim ljudima. Njegov savjet je da treba biti blizak s ljudima kojima se divite.
S godinama je Martyn postao pravi snagator.
“Osjećam da sam to pravi ja! Mrzim se osjećati mršavim i slabim, to me jednostavno deprimira i ne osjećam se dobro”, izjavio je.

Tvrdi da mu je najveći izazov pronaći dovoljno veliku odjeću u koju bi stao i hranu koju bi konzumirao: “konzumiranje do 8000 kalorija u jednom danu može biti prava poteškoća”.
“Tijekom prošle godine, stvarno sam počeo davati veću pozornost mojoj prehrani. I sada važem i pratim svoj unos hrane u puno većoj mjeri”, izjavio je strastveni vježbač koji ima čak 145 kilograma na svojih 203 cm visine.
On trenira šest dana u tjednu, a nedjeljom odmara. U rutinu je uključio HIIT trening i MMA vježbe koje radi dva puta tjedno.

Carbohydrates have a bad press at times, however there are essential in the building of muscle. Building muscle is a very high impact sport. Carbohydrates are what the body uses to fuel workouts, these workouts must be done to break the muscle tissue down before the protein can repair and rebuild. How much carb is the challenge. This can alter on age, energy levels, level of athlete, body type and current state of the athletes frame. Back so far. Now….. before we start………. Below are a few things i already know, and i will be working on! Please remember i am NOT a bodybuilder. Yes i train with weights, but i have never trained for bodybuilding. A power lifter trains with weights, a swimmer trains with weights…. hell, 99% of all sportsmen / women train with weights, by no means does this make them or myself a bodybuilder. 1) My trapz, wing spam, arms and thickness all need working on to gain a balanced physique. 2) My posing is awful lol 3) I had these tattoos when i was younger and didn’t realise what one represented! (Lol shocking but the truth, soon to be covered up) 4) The kitchen is a mess 5) I didn’t comb my hair Mmmm i think that about covers the array of abuse i may get lol. Oh apart from sometimes i make spelling and grammar mistakes! Aint no one perfect lol. Now….. there are very important reasons as into why you SHOULD take progress pictures AND monitor your training and nutrition through out any phase of training. For many years i, like 100’s of you im sure just trained as i like, ate healthy but with no real balance and couldnt tell you what my PB or my average bench for 10 reps was etc. Looking back with a little frustration i realise now just why i never really achieved what i wanted and progressed as fast as i would of liked. Having photos and a diary allows you to see exactly what works and how to plan your next steps going forwards. I will be applying all the skills i have aquired and taking my physique as far as i possible can. Who knows where it might end up. PLEASE ignore the pout! Haahaha but in all fairness after 3 weeks of living out of hotes and struggling to get all the training and correct food in on time im feeling confident i will hit my target in 8 wks.
